Who would have imagined that their meeting on the Halfplugged Festival may lead to this? [BOLT], our very own rising stars on the international drone-firmament and Denovalis' PETRELS come together on shiny, black vinyl with one exclusive track each. Wrapped in a fullcolored sleeve this Split has a duration of more than 20 minutes what should have been expected as you are familiar with the tunes by these artists.

[BOLT] sneak in gently, swaying in expansive, melancholic ambiences before the distortion rolls in...

PETRELS on the other hand take all the aural space needed by assault delivering one of the densiest compositions you may have heard in a long time.

Introducing: BIBLO

The tunes from this electronic producer from the multicultural heart of Istanbul / alumni of the Red Bull Music Academy are minimalistic segments culminating in a rich and deep sometimes even dark, melancholic and very gritty composition.

A hauntingly beautiful voice that seems to be coming from the beyond, guiding you through a sound scape that easily could have been a collaboration between Andy Stott and Julee Cruise mixed with a spark of experimental dub and ambient music.

Istanbul resident and Red Bull Music Academy 2011 alumni BIBLO has already put out a couple of highly acclaimed net-releases debauching in melancholy synths and grinding percussion patterns. It's about time to get physical and we're more than happy to have the pleasure to put out a new record by this astonishing artist very soon.

The beats and sound manipulations delivered from this bass-deviant are beyond good and evil. 2013 will see the first full-lengh album (powered by Aentitainment) of this highly gifted french musician.

2012 IN RETROSPECTIVE

After we all surprisingly survived the Apocalypse (which we actually haven't really realized) we still got some time to look back at a turbulent year...

We had a quite late start with the release of [ B O L T ]s EP ( 0 2 ) shortly after the Halfplugged Fest we co-organized. Our beardy drone-duo went straight on for more shows after this reaching a widespread audience with opening shows for big names like JARBOE, TORCHE and Ο.

The EP itself received critical praise peaking in the statement they were the "drone-internet-hype of the year". Well, that escalated quickly.

In September "Inlandsis", the fourth album by GUNS OF BRIXTON saw the light of day and again critics were tripping over. Check this example by A Closer Listen for proof.

The french quartet went on tour with their labelmates of UTOPIA:BANISHED in October through Europe serving broken music to the people...

The year came to an end and many are waiting for the debut EP of the aztec dub mystic PECHUGA DE POLLODIABOLO to hit the public.
On Dec 20th he and the infamous NUMINOS offered a glimpse of the new material in Cologne like (documented on the following video) the Numinos remix of the the great "Einer muss ja..." known from Whiteline Vol.IV.
